Y can change your payment method by navigating to the Billing page in the OpenBOM application. OpenBOM uses Stripe as its payment system, which is embedded directly in your OpenBOM account interface.
No, we do not issue refunds (for the current billing cycle or previously purchased months). You can cancel your account by contacting us at support@openbom.com and your subscription will end when your last payment period finishes and we will not charge you any further after.
If you upgrade to a higher subscription plan, we will refund for the unused portion of your subscription (monthly or annual).
Yes, all of our subscription plans are available online on our pricing page and can be purchased using a credit card. The billing process is embedded in OpenBOM application, you can select what plan to subscribe to and check-out in the application.

To get a free trial, you can find the link on our pricing page or go directly to the trial sign up page here and fill out the form. Our free trial is for 14 days for our Professional User, Professional Team, or Company subscription tiers.
No, our free trial is only for 14 days and cannot be extended automatically. To continue using OpenBOM after the trial period is over, you can purchase a risk-free monthly subscription from our pricing page and you cancel at any time. In some situations, OpenBOM sales can extend a trial based on the situation and your needs to finish the evaluation and/or demonstrate the product to your management or other team members.
No, OpenBOM is not available on premise for any of our main subscription plans. However, for users with the Enterprise subscription plan, it is possible to rollout OpenBOM in a separate AWS account, but you would need to consult the price by sending us a request at support@openbom.com.
Check OpenBOM billing page – available for Team Owner account. You should be able to access all invoices there. If you’re not getting email with the invoices, please check the spam folder. If you have more questions, contact support@openbom.com.
To change your billing email address, sign into your OpenBOM account. From the Dashboard, click on your name in the top-right corner of the screen and choose “Profile” from the drop-down menu. In the User Profile window, type your new email address in the “Billing email” field and click on “Update”.

We support most versions of CAD systems you might be using out of the box – Solidworks, Fusion360, Onshape, Autodesk Inventor, Solid Edge, and others. You can find a list of integrations we support here. If for some reason, you have a problem with the version of CAD system you’re using, please contact support@openbom.com and we will fix the problem.

Yes, OpenBOM Design Folders functionality provide a mechanism to manage CAD and other files, perform lock (check-out/check-in) and version mechanism for files. It is integrated with CAD systems supported by OpenBOM.
There are a few ways to create a BOM: manually, from a spreadsheet, or from CAD.
To create a BOM manually, you should always be able to use the Create > Create BOM command in the top left-corner of the Dashboard.
To create a BOM from a spreadsheet this article will guide you through it. Use the Create > Import BOM command.
To import from your CAD system, this article will provide you with links to download the plug-ins and our instructional “First 5 Minutes” videos for each CAD system to walk you through the integration and how to create your first BOM.
BOM properties could appear to be missing because they are hidden in the BOM view or because they don’t exist and need to be added. Check if you have a user-defined view applier. All properties must be visible when “View is Off”. You can customize the view by using “Edit view command”. Also you can re-arrange the order of the properties by applying user-defined views. This is a recommended option. In simple cases, you can use property order command, but we recommend always to apply user-defined view to ensure the correct property order is enforced.
Sharing with OpenBOM is very simple and you can read more about it here on our Sharing Data and Collaborating page. If you are working with a Team subscription plan, you simply add a member to your team by going to Dashboard > Administration tab > Team and clicking the “Create New” button. You then register their email address and set their permissions. Your BOMs and catalogs will be shared automatically with them and updated in real time. You can also share individual BOMs or catalogs using the Share button in toolbar at the top-right corner of the BOM/catalog dashboard screen.

Our Managing Changes and Revisions page explains about change history, change reports, BOM revisions, and more. In the BOM there is a Revisions menu above the toolbar at the top. There you can select a revision, create and view change requests, and view the change history of your BOM.

We recommend you use the Revision commands to preserve the history of baselines. It will give you an easy way to navigate back and compare your revisions.
If for some reason you made a change that requires you to restore the old data, please contact us at support@openbom.com with your OpenBOM account email, BOM part number (or catalog name), and the date that you want to restore it to. Also, please share the BOM or catalog with our support team and provide us with the URL to the BOM or catalog.
