OpenBOM supports the import of a BOM inside an already existing Bill of Materials in OpenBOM allowing you to capture and manage changes done outside of the OpenBOM environment. In a simple scenario, you can export Excel file and send it to other people who will make changes and then re-import the Excel back into OpenBOM. Data changes will be captured and information will be merged in such a way that additional parts you added in OpenBOM, in the meantime, will be preserved and data exported or imported from Excel will be merged. It will enhance your ability to support many change management use cases to work with people not using OpenBOM, integrate with design and manufacturing systems OpenBOM is not integrated with.
