What is it?

Engineers and companies don’t work in a vacuum. There are many existing systems that are used by engineers and manufacturers – CAD, PDM, PLM, ERP, MES, among others. With a growth in SaaS business, manufacturers often use SaaS software as well. Such companies operate software that has been developed for a long time. 

A company’s ability to use and integrate such applications strongly suggests that they would be able to quickly and easily implement OpenBOM into their business. Seamless integration has a direct impact on overall work efficiency.

Integration capabilities include functions that allow you to view OpenBOM applications (or data) embedded and integrated.

OpenBOM cloud service is available online via REST API that can be integrated with OpenBOM services to build applications for cost calculation, purchasing, etc. These applications can be developed by either the customer or by OpenBOM.

How does it work?

OpenBOM provides many integrations with desktop applications, cloud services and enterprise/ legacy applications (PDM, PLM, ERP, MES, etc.) 

There are three main groups of integrations: 

  1. Out-of-the-box integrations included in OpenBOM subscriptions
  2. Out-of-the-box integrations provided via additional subscriptions
  3. Custom integrations developed based on the customer’s requirements 

Out-of-the-box integrations are available for download immediately. Custom applications can be developed based on customer’s requirements.
