Get started with OpenBOM by registering an account and verifying it in a few easy steps!

Sign Up, Account Verification and Browser Support

Registration is fast and easy with OpenBOM.com! Click on this link to navigate to the OpenBOM sign-up page.

It will open this registration screen. If the registration form doesn’t show up, please check if you’re using supported browsers. OpenBOM supports latest versions of modern browsers – Chrome, Safari, Firefox. We provide limited support to Microsoft Edge. We can provide support Internet Explorer for Enterprise Subscriptions.

Be sure to register with a working email address so that you can receive a confirmation from us to get started. You may also want to consider:

  • If you are using a CAD integration, you may find it more convenient to use the same email address for your CAD and OpenBOM accounts. Often CAD apps have an app store, so again, it’s more convenient to use the same email.
  • Finally, OpenBOM offers paid Professional and Team subscriptions. BE SURE TO USE THE SAME EMAIL WHEN BUYING A PAID SUBSCRIPTION AS YOUR FREE OPENBOM ACCOUNT EMAIL. We tie the two together.

Login And Passwords

Sign into OpenBOM using the email address and password you provided when you created your account. There is no other “username.”  We identify all accounts by email address.

If you don’t remember your password, use the “Forgot password” link.

Unfortunately, we cannot test all password managers, so if you’re using one, please check if it is compatible with OpenBOM.

What If I Cannot Sign In?

We are sorry you are having trouble signing in! Let’s get that fixed!

There are several reasons why you may not be able to sign in. Here is a list of common issues and fixes:

  1. Double check that you’re typing your password correctly and using the right email address. (Mistyped emails or passwords are the most common problem.)
  2. Check your connection to make sure you haven’t lost internet connection.
  3. If your account was created by a Team Administrator, check with this person to ensure your account has not been disabled.

Finally, if you continue to have trouble, please send a message to support@openbom.com and we will get you up and running right away!

OpenBOM Active Sessions and Subscriptions 

OpenBOM tracks active sessions and will limit every user to a single active user session. OpenBOM user is allowed to a single active session. To end an active session, you need to use the OpenBOM Sing-out command. 

To support a seamless user experience, OpenBOM will keep your current session active after the sign-in within the next 24 hours. NOTE: If you’re using OpenBOM on multiple computers, use sign-out to release your current active session.  

In the case of OpenBOM identifying multiple active sessions, you will be notified by the following message.
