Creating a shareable and interactive BOM

openBoM acquires information from different CAD systems, creating a BOM that can be completely customized by users. Moreover, the BOM can be collaboratively edited and accessed by multiple people situated in different locations around the world. You may be tempted to quip, “hey Google Spreadsheet can do that.” Well yes, but here’s the thing, openBoM offers a collaborative change process which allows people to make changes as well in applications such as CAD, PDM, PLM, and ERPs simultaneously, all organized together into a distributed collaborative BOM process.  Here’s how you can create a shareable and interactive BOM:

2. Customize your BOM by adding properties.  You can learn how to add BOM properties, here.
3. Share your BOM with Team members.  Here’s how.  If you’re part of a team created by the Team admin with the sharing option activated, BOMs will automatically be shared and accessible to you.  Learn more about team sharing and Team admin, here.
